Programming
Programming didn't instantly attract me. I first started out in Colorado, working under one of my undergraduate professors, Phillip Cervantes. We were studying semiconductors at high pressures and temperatures and used C++ to run the experiments.
Programming was interesting as a tool, but I was hesitant to focus on it as a pursuit in itself. That all changed when I started making games for the web. Suddenly the code had a purpose that was really fun, immersive and visual.
